La Viñuela, Spain
I was incredibly excited when Charlotte and Ryan got in touch to enquire about me photographing their wedding in Spain at one of the most beautiful venues I have seen. I’m lucky enough to photograph weddings throughout the UK and Europe at some really gorgeous venues but The La Vinuela Hotel was just something special. Overlooking the reservoir with absolutely stunning views all round. It really is a photographers paradise.
I’m so, so incredibly lucky to be able to photograph destination weddings as not only do I get to spend the day with such bloody fantastic couples and their family & friends, I also get the added bonus of travelling around the world for work. It’s an absolute dream!
Destination Wedding Photography in Spain
On the wedding day I arrived in the afternoon to meet charlotte and her bridesmaids at the hotel in one of the stunning rooms overlooking the reservoir at the back of the hotel. It also provided a sneaky view of all the guests arriving and the gorgeous set up for the ceremony.
Charlotte and Ryan had the ceremony outside at 5pm meaning the sun wasn’t too harsh and it wasn’t too hot. One thing I have learnt from previous weddings in Spain is that the mid-day sun can be very harsh for a wedding ceremony with no cover so this was much more comfortable and relaxed. The light was perfect at this time of day too with a gorgeous golden glow coming from over the horizon as the sun started to go down.
A relaxed drinks reception in the evening sun
Charlotte & Ryan wanted a very relaxed feel to the wedding and didn’t want to spend lot’s of time away from family & friends doing photographs which fitted in with my approach perfectly. I really believe that your wedding day should be about you, having a fantastic time with your loved ones. We wen’t for a short walk to get some photographs of the two of them before getting back to the drinks reception to enjoy the evening with some of the best canapés I have ever tasted. They even had a little sushi station which was pretty cool!
Later into the evening the party started and it was a wild one, in a good way obviously. It really was a good night and I had a great time being in the midst of all the dance floor action.
Thank you both so much for having me as your La Viñuela Hotel Wedding Photographer. I had an absolute blast being part of your
